Transforming the Future of Work: Navigating

the Intersection of Digital Transformation and

Human Capital

Conference on Economic Convergence in European

Union (ECEU) – 20th edition

Bucharest, 6-7th of April 2023

CALL FOR PAPERS

We are pleased to invite you to the 20th International Conference on Economic

Convergence in European Union, “Transforming the Future of Work: Navigating

the Intersection of Digital Transformation and Human Capital” which will take

place in Bucharest University of Economic Studies between 6-7th of April 2023.

Organized by The Faculty of Theoretical and Applied Economics, the ECEU

conference is a multidisciplinary forum that promotes interaction and knowledge exchange

among scholars from diverse research fields.

The pace of technological change has accelerated dramatically in recent years, and this has had a profound

impact on the world of work. Digital transformation has revolutionized the way we do business, and it has brought

new opportunities and challenges to organizations of all sizes and in all industries. At the same time, human capital

remains a critical factor in the success of any organization. The skills, knowledge, and experience of the people

working in an organization are crucial to its ability to innovate, adapt, and grow. So, how do we navigate this

intersection of digital transformation and human capital? How do we leverage the benefits of technology while also

ensuring that our people have the skills and capabilities they need to thrive in this rapidly changing world?

One of the key challenges is to keep pace with the changing demands of the job market. With new

technologies emerging all the time, it is essential that we continue to invest in our people, helping them to develop

the skills and expertise they need to stay relevant and competitive.

Another challenge is to ensure that digital transformation is inclusive and equitable, so that everyone has

an opportunity to participate and benefit. This requires a focus on diversity and inclusivity, as well as a commitment

to lifelong learning and career development. To succeed in this rapidly changing landscape, organizations must adopt

a holistic and strategic approach to digital transformation and human capital. This means leveraging technology to

create new business models and value streams, while also investing in the development and well-being of the people

who make up the organization. To sum up, the future of work will be shaped by the intersection of digital transformation and human capital.

Navigating this intersection requires a strategic and inclusive approach that leverages technology while also investing

in the skills and well-being of our people.
