We are pleased to invite you to the 21st International Conference on Economic Convergence in European Union, “Sustainable development: trend or necessity?” which will take place on 22nd of May 2024.

Organized by The Faculty of Theoretical and Applied Economics, the ECEUconference is a multidisciplinary forum that promotes interaction and knowledge exchange among scholars from diverse research fields This year the main topic of the conference revolves around potential economic, social, or technological shifts caused by sustainable development, that is of paramount importance in today’s world, as it addresses critical challenges facing humanity and the planet. Sustainable development is about meeting. the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

With pressing issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and resource depletion, there’s an urgent need for innovative solutions, therefore research plays a vital role in identifying, developing, and implementing these solutions. Also, research in this field provides evidence-based insights that inform policy formulation and decision-making processes at local, national, and global levels.
