Invite you to participate to the

Economic Convergence in European Union (ECEU) – 16th edition

Bucharest, 19 – 20 April 2019

CALL FOR PAPERS

One of the biggest challenges of our world today is to understand the reasons that stood behind the past economic crisis and how to stimulate future economic growth. Given its further possibilities of development, a crucial insight of modern theories in Economics can be drawn by focusing on the past and the present. While the past has not been as thoroughly analyzed as it should have been, we can see that it’s providing the opportunity of exploring untapped historical data to shed new light on today’s problems.

The prime objective of ECEU conference is to facilitate the interaction between the scholars from Economics academic area, aiming multidisciplinary cooperation, along with academics from others different areas as well as, exchange knowledge of available data and the state-of-the art approaches.

The ECEU conference in Bucharest will offer an opportunity to share and discuss ideas and research pertaining to these questions. Organizers from the Faculty of Theoretical and Applied Economics of The Bucharest University of Economic Studies/Academia de Studii Economice din București (ASE) invite both established researchers and Ph.D. or master students to submit their scientific work. We particularly welcome research into general economic issues, from an economical, business or economic thinking perspective or into less widely known aspects of nowadays economics.

Those who wish to participate should email their abstract along with short academic CV to the organising committee (simpozion@economie.ase.ro) no later than 4th of March 2019.

Interested academics and practitioners are invited to submit:

Short papers: this could be research in progress, abstracts, ideas you would like to explore with audience at the conference, or draft of papers for possible co-authorship:  (max. 5 pages or 1500 words) – not up for publishing.
